The Fulbright Program is the U.S. Government’s flagship international education exchange program and is supported by the U.S. Department of State and partner countries around the world. Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided more than 318,000 participants from over 155 countries with the opportunity to study, teach, and conduct research; exchange ideas; and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.
”Creative leadership and liberal education, which in fact go together, are the first requirements for a hopeful future for humankind. It [Fulbright] is a modest program with an immodest aim — the achievement in international affairs of a regime more civilized, rational and humane than the empty system of power of the past. “ - by J. William Fulbright
